This web site is dedicated to sharing interests in the Montgomery family genealogy and in the restoration of log houses crafted in the 1700's and 1800's. My primary Montgomery genealogical interests are with the those ancestors who resided in Rockbridge County, Virginia (formed from Augusta and Botetourt counties in 1778), in the middle to the latter 1700's. The Montgomery Genealogy web page contains family history in Rockbridge County, and links to additional information.
A full restoration of an 1820 log house is described, including photos, on the Log House Restoration web page. The web site also includes information on Rockbridge County, Virginia, recommended reading, and other useful links. This web site is best viewed with a display setting of 800 × 600 pixels. The left column of each web page includes a navigation menu bar. |
